   1. Start a real exercise program - It is important to discuss an appropriate exercise program with your physician especially if you are pregnant or have recently delivered. Take the time to find a trainer or training program that works for your schedule. Make sure you stick to it. Results will not happen over night but exercise is the best way to firm up muscle mass and burn excess fat away.

   2. Posture - Stand up straight. Put your shoulders back. Keeping your body properly erect helps to stretch out the stomach causing the area to be pulled tighter and appear flatter. It is also a good practice to pay attention to your posture in general.
